For those of you not on the newsletter, the pics are now online on the Chin home page. I can't wait to get my cd, found a good one in the online batch, look at all that body roll, must need to stiffen things up:

Nice pic PD!
I bet you'll lose the body roll when ya lose the co-pilot.

I finally made the posted pics this time, and even have a cameo in two of the videos people are posting.

All in all - another great event w/ Chin!

If I have a good two days at Barber later this month, maybe I'll be ready to ask for solo checkout in June.

Oh, check this one out, you don't see that in your Mercedes' rear view every day.

Nice Gweedo! I remember following you in the Civic for awhile and everytime you hit that hairpin that tire was WAY up in the air. Talk about stiff suspension! What spring rates are you running?

I like the car.

Civic's came up too but nothing like the M3.

Actually it has more to do with the front rear bias in roll resistance. Mine is stock springs and shocks with aftermarket stiffer sway bars. Porsches and BMWs stiff roll resistance up front, front wheel drive cars stiff in the rear.

The fronts are 400# and rears 515#. I think we spoke in the pits after lunch; I didn't catch your name as my student showed up and I had to go. I went out after that and ran a bit with you. I looked for you afterwards, but didn't find you. I should have some video to post up soon.

Regards,
Matt

Gweedo I am guessing that you have a thicker/stiffer sway bar up front yes?

Hi,

I could be wrong but both pictures of the back tires are in the braking zone / turn-in. The picture with the front tire off the ground was at the apex, well into the corner and probably with power on. Both dynamics would yield different results. I have 1" (700# Springs) front sways and 1/2" rear (350# Springs) and I would expect both instances to be true if I was trail-braking into a corner, starting my turn-in and right rear tire should be off the ground until I roll on power before or at the apex. Once power-on, the front right tire should then come off the ground. If you are at the limit at both instances, this will be true.

Both means one thing, you guys are one hell of a driver and you are doing it right.

Regards,

Mark

Yeah, they are Turner Motorsports adjustable bars, front and rear. Fronts have an adjustable helm jointed end link as well.

Sure thing. I'll be doing the August and October days at Sebring. I'm doing Barber in September as well. Will you be at any of those?

Speaking of rides Jeremy, I'd like to get a ride sometime in your new Civic, maybe I could learn some FWD stuff. Brian if you got room in the Evo I'd like a ride in a 4WD too.

Haha. Yah, we can arrange that sometime. Not sure what I could teach you but I'll throw you in there. Brian still owes me a ride as well.

Have you guys received your pics from Colortech yet? I haven't seen anything, but no charge on my card either; I'm guessing the three pics they showed me at the track were all they got.

I doubt that's all he got. He typically shoots thousands of pictures over a weekend. It just takes him a while to find all of the pictures of your car.
