I'm trying to find a 17" Racing Bucket seat for a 3rd Gen RX7. Right now there are a set of PRIDE 15" seats installed and my hips would fracture trying to stuff myself into them. I have a 17" Recaro in my Spec Miata so there has to be a way to get something similar into the RX7. I'd prefer to stay away from Aluminum. The windows have to stay functional but we can gut the doors if needed. I also think we can "massage" the floor pan too. Right now, with the small seats installed, the shoulder wings touch the door. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

There is a handy guide for aftermarket seats found at the FlyinMiata website. This link gives measurements for sizes in critical areas. I have a feeling if it fits in the Miata, it will fit in the RX-7.

Here is the link:

Is anyone from the Tampa Bay area going down to Sebring this weekend for the Porsche event? If so, would you be able to bring back a seat for me? Wine Country has a seat that might fit the RX7. I'd really appreciate it. Please let me know.

Joe
