How early can I service may car for the tech inspection? Is two weeks Ok? If I need a part replaced/ordered, I don't want to wait til the last minute, or several days before the event.

Two weeks is great. A useful guideline is that the tech is valid as long as you've not done another track event since then. When one participates in a track event, then, fresh tech inspection is required before the next event.
