Brand new to this and going to Road Atlanta this month. Two questions.
First : does my car need a number on it?
Second: Just noticed a nail in my left front tire today and saw the notice about plugged tires. Any suggestions, plenty of tread left currently so new tire not high on my list

You might need snow tires/chains:

we look forward to seeing you at the track. All cars require a number, it is a necessity. See details elsewhere in this forum (SEARCH in the main menu, top right). On the tire, integrity depends on the location of the plug. If it was a clean, small puncture, a uniform round hole in the center of the tread, that can often be safely patched. If it is slash or cut, if it's near the shoulder or sidewall, then that tire is NOT suitable for use at the track.
