Hey folks... I've been doing HPDEs for several years now and am thinking of selling one of my FWD cars to start doing some RWD. Does there exist an entry level Porsche that one could get to be fun on track that would be in the $8k to $10k range (used, of course)?

Is a 911SC a good choice for this?

This is a little more than your looking for -- but a great entry level Porsche
with room to grow.

These are relatively forgiving plat forms that can be very quick. When well driven it will keep up with modern day 911's let alone anything vintage.

...well, pretty much any air-cooled 911 is tempermental!

Anything with the carrera/911 body style that fits this bill? I hear the older pre-1978 cars are very temperamental, such as the 2.7 RS...

you're describing a 944, late 80s/early 90's... yep, that is an excellent entry-level RWD Porsche track car. Happy Hunting...
