Or make the trophies from the oak tree! Or make shift knobs from the tree and sell them to replace it.

Thanks for posting this. Hard to understand how one can grieve for a tree, but I can relate. I sent a note of condolence to VIR via the address in the article suggesting that motorsports trophies at VIR should somehow reference the tree or have as their primary design the strong trunk and branches of The Oak.
